The
LA City Charter Bus Program is designed to assist senior, youth, and
disabled groups in the City of Los Angeles with free or subsidized Charter
Bus Services to attend educational, recreational or cultural events
in the region. Groups may request a bus trip through the Council District
Office serving their area. To find the office serving your Group's area,
log on to http://www.lacity.org
and enter your Group’s address in the “My Neighborhood”
section. Then, return to this website and click on the word Coordinators
here or above to display the list of Agency Coordinators assigned to
each Council District Office. Contact your Agency
Coordinator at the telephone number listed. Explain your need
for a bus, and provide any information requested. Your request
may be given preliminary approval or be denied. If preliminary
approval is given, the Agency Coordinator may either:
1.
Issue you a User ID and Password for you to log on to the Charter Bus
Program website at
http://www.lacitycharterbus.com/group,
submit your request, and track its status, or 2. Submit
your request for you and if you desire, issue you a User ID and Password
for you to track the status of your request.
After
a Trip Request is submitted, the Agency Coordinator will review the
Trip Request and either cancel it, require that it be modified , or
approve and forward it to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation
(LADOT) Charter Bus Supervisor to assign to a Bus Company. You should
review the Status of your Trip Request prior to the trip date to help
ensure service will be provided as requested. If you are unable to use
the web to track your Trip Request, contact your Agency Coordinator
for its Status.
Upon
the completion of your trip, the Agency Coordinator will de-activate
your User ID and Password if no other trips, granted preliminary approval,
are still pending. The Agency Coordinator may re-activate your
User ID and Password if you are granted preliminary approval for a future
request.
